It is an amazing experience to notice the visual difference between internal views of the dome and external solid look of the dome. The view of pyramid from outside and inside are two different visual experiences. An architect who is designing building from inside, simultaneously constructs its visual counterpart as external solid form. Designer should have mental ability or perceptive accuracy to simultaneously conceive external and internal look of the space and form of the building. Purist in architectural field criticize the contemporary buildings which are being superficially decorated from outside. The outside solid form does not purely manifested itself in the inside space. Such type of architecture is the target of architectural critics, who believe in the fact that, such pseudo architectural examples emerged only because of limited designing capabilities of the architects.
|With help of mount board sheets students are asked to create three-dimensional forms. Actually these forms are made to look like moulds of sculpture, or students are sometimes asked to create two counterparts of unevenly cut cube that will fit edge to edge. This is quite difficult assignment and requires good skills of cutting & pasting the pieces of the mount board. The surfaces of the model can be further treated with colour or texture.|
Visually both the sides of this model should be studied. There should
be an effort from students to study amalgamations of solid forms into
each other. These amalgamated areas also should be studied carefully.
The visual images shall be verified with the mental images before actually
seeing it from other side. However the student should notice following
without any difficulty.
